Services

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination for younger animals and twice yearly examinations for your senior dogs and cats. Thorough check-ups and preventive care can help alleviate serious health problems. We offer a wide range of veterinary services to keep your companions feeling their best:

Annual Health Examinations, Vaccinations and Heartworm Testing

Acupuncture:      We offer acupuncture and herbal remedies as a complement to our traditional veterinary practice.  Please see the section Acupuncture FAQ on this website for more information and a link to a fun personality assessment!

Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  Our housecall service is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' health care needs.

Referrals and specialist consults: We offer referrals to specialists, both on and off Cape, who perform ultrasounds, endoscopic procedures, echocardiography, ultrasound, oncology, ophthalmology and help us with the diagnosis of more complicated cases.

Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory  provides for ear and skin cytology, heartworm testing, tick borne disease testing, feline leukemia and feline immunodifficiency testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for routine bloodwork, fecals, specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Permanent identification: We offer microchip identification.

Pharmacy:  We maintain an online pharmacy for prescription drugs, prescription diets, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet.

Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.

Final Care:  We offer euthanasia and cremation services.  We also offer an ambulance service for your convenience.
